Hi my name is Sharon and I have worked in the child care industry for the past 30 years. During this time I have been a teacher, director and a validator and I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every minute of it. Seeing children learn and accomplish new skills makes me smile and have a sense of achievement.

I believe children need to given an environment which is safe and one where families and staff work together to ensure every child's needs and interests are met and extended, the Sunkids curriculum provides this environment. When I am not at the centre I enjoy spending time with my children and grandchildren, listening to music, going for walks and travelling the world.

Allison Clarke

Hi my name is Allison and I have worked as an educator in the child care industry for over 18 years. I began my journey training in Ballarat, completing an Associate Diploma in Childcare/Mothercraft Nurse.

I moved up to sunny Queensland in the early 1990's to further my opportunities in the Early Childhood industry working at a centre in Brisbane, and finally settling on the Gold Coast.

I started working at Sunkids in 2066 as a Group Leader, then moving up to Assistant Director and now currently a contract Director. I furthered my studies in 1996 completing my Advanced Diploma in Children's Services.

My passion and pride for Early Childhood Education grows each year, and having taught preschool for the past 10 years, I beleive a cirriculum grows through opportunities observed in every routine, action and interaction. There are always questions to pursue and discoveries to celebrate. I view the child as a decision maker and investigator. Parents are an invaluable tool in my teaching and I regard them as the primary educators of the child.
